That is the conclusion of sports doctor Kasper Janssen in his doctoral research at VUmc. Dr Janssen advises that athletes should continue to wear a brace for at least a year after straining an ankle. His research has also shown that a brace works far better than balance training and that the chances of a recurrence are considerably reduced by wearing a brace.

Push Braces/PSB Sports Braces will be used again by top Olympic athletes in 2017/2018


The cooperation between the Dutch Olympic Committee/Dutch Sports Federation and Nea International BV will continue for a period of two years. In 2017-2018 top athletes who are level A, HP or selected will be able to receive Push Braces and PSB Sports Braces free of charge, with a maximum of three braces per year.
