Willie Gault

Willie Gault is an African–American former NFL wide receiver as well as a Summer and Winter Olympic athlete. He played in the National Football League for 11 seasons for the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Raiders. He is considered one of the fastest NFL players of all time and was a member of the Bears team that won Super Bowl XX in 1980. In 1983 he became World Champion in the US team for the 4 × 100-metre relay and won a Bronze medal in the 110-metre hurdles during the 1983 World Championships in Helsinki. He was also a member of the US Olympic team that boycotted the 1980 Olympics and he made the 1988 Winter Olympics bobsledding team as an alternate. This ‘all-rounder’ is currently pursuing a career as an actor. He also remains active in masters athletics, setting world masters records in the 100- and 200-metre dashes for the 45–49-, 50–54- and 55–59-year age groups.
